Eric Giannella is an Associate Research Professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University and the Better Government Lab. Eric has extensive experience identifying, measuring, and reducing administrative burdens in safety net services. He has run field experiments across several topics in benefits access, such as the impact of offering flexible interview times for SNAP, how to better collect job income data, how to make it easier to submit required verification documents, optimizing text and email campaigns to cross-promote benefits programs, how to encourage submission of renewal forms on time, and what terms and examples most resonate with people in order to help them accurately claim credits or deductions.
